Norway’s most well known hiking trail, Bessegen Ridge, offers some fabulous scenery. After taking the boat halfway across Lake Gjende from the Gjendesheim Turisthytte (lodge) to the Memurubu Turisthytte, hikers can join the Ridge trail for a full day’s hike back to Gjendesheim. Along the way are expansive views of the lake and Mt. Knutshoe on the opposite side. On the west coast of Norway, Geirangerfjord and other fjords offer equally impressive views.
